spent a long night on call, after sleeping in, so that was good. then I couldn’t sleep when I wanted to, I had to be up several hours later. Instead of sleeping, I read Bright Lights Big City, a book someone had mentioned somewhere. It had intrigued me enough (and my friend) to track down a copy. She read it first and then gave it to me, I feel like I’ve let somebody down not reading...

walking home last night was a fast walk from my friend’s house, the train ride was faster than surprised. i felt like it was so early… well, it was. i have to be in by a certain time now because of this jobbbbb. sucksssss. Nothing beats sitting on a roof holding still but still dripping sweat, holding a kitten, having awkward conversation and hoping that he leaves.

I was sitting in wicker park today and this homeless guy walks over… wanders, really, stares at this guy on a bench and yells something to/at him. The guy on the bench leaves quickly and the homeless guy takes the exact spot he had been sitting in and then proceeds to stare at me. Just stare. Then he starts talking ‘hey’… ‘what’s your name anyway?’…...
